Can't type or other odd behavior

Prev Next

There may be certain occasions when the EndpointLock keystroke encryption and the antivirus running on your PC are conflicting with each other. This could cause keystroke encryption to cause some unexpected behavior like not being able to type in certain programs.

To fix this type of issue, you should add an exception for EndpointLock in your antivirus software. Please follow the directions for your antivirus below:

Avast

Follow this guide and add the following exception:

  • C:\Program Files (x86)\EndpointLock\*

AVG

Follow this guide using the "Add an advanced exception" section, and add the following exception:

  • C:\Program Files (x86)\EndpointLock

  • Select all feature checkboxes.

Bitdefender

Follow this guide and add the following exceptions:

  • C:\Program Files (x86)\EndpointLock\EndpointLock.exe

  • C:\Program Files (x86)\EndpointLock\EndpointLockWatcher.exe

Webroot

Follow this guide and add the following exception:

  • C:\Program Files (x86)\EndpointLock\

EndpointLock and your keyboard should now be working normally. If you are still having issues, please contact support.
